Abstract
Rather than limiting the analysis to numerical association, this study sought to explore how school leadership and educational management interact within the Parinacochas Local Education Management Unit (UGEL) in Ayacucho during 2024. The research followed a quantitative, applied approach, framed within a non-experimental and cross-sectional design, aiming to examine relationships without manipulating the variables involved. Data were gathered through a structured questionnaire administered to 25 school principals, who constituted the unit of analysis. Findings indicate a statistically meaningful relationship, as the significance level obtained (p = 0.000) falls below the established threshold (p < .01). In addition, Spearman’s rho reached 0.957, suggesting a strong positive association between leadership and educational management. A more detailed look reveals that this relationship extends across different management dimensions: strategic (rho = 0.869; p = 0.000), pedagogical (rho = 0.493; p = 0.012), administrative (rho = 0.783; p = 0.000), and community (rho = 0.893; p = 0.000). While all correlations were positive, their intensity varied, indicating that certain areas may still require further strengthening. Overall, the results support the idea that stronger leadership practices are linked to more consistent educational management, encouraging more structured and participatory processes, even if not always in a perfectly linear way.
